The Beast is an awesome modem+router. I've been running my home network on it for almost a year now. I get DL speeds of almost a Gig. The WiFi router part of the device is also great. After trying Eero and Orbi Pro routers, I actually run my home network directly on the Beast. A couple of features requests that would make this a true beast - 1. Support for Mesh networking. 2. Ability to split 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz on the Guest network 3. Parental controls 4. Full fledged Open WRT
Alfredo's support is top-notch and I'm glad I went with this purchase. I was initially hesitant to buy from an 'unknown' small business. But, after reading up a lot on Reddit and other forums, I realized that he has quite a fan following :)
Wishing that Chester Tech grows leaps and bounds in their business but still retains the 'small business' dedication and customer service levels in their DNA.
Router is next level and nothing compares to it.
Doubled my Internet speed. It allows me to lock out a band that I don't want to use. I'm close enough to the tower that I don't need N71, it slows me down. Now I can lock it out. It gives me control of things that my provider doesn't, so now I can optimize it.
